ALUMNI HELPS AFIRMATION STUDENT FROM PAPUA TO DO INTERNSHIP

As part of MBKM Curriculum, DTE seeks Alumni support to provide places for student to do internship. On Friday, August 19, DTE met Mr. Erikson Simangunsong, an alumni of DTE 1996, who offered a place for student internship in his one of Electrical Distribution Projects. Rinat Wanikbo, an afirmative student from Papua is interested following the project that could help him to finish his study in DTE. Activities are projected to last three to five months in Asahan 3 site.

Agus P. Simorangkir, alumni TE 82, from Jakarta was visiting Dumai city, took time meeting the juniors DTE alumni 2012 who returned to Dumai to dedicate what they got during study in DTE. Agus shared experiences and motivations as part of solidarity among alumni.

IATE, Ikatan Alumni Teknik Elektro performed Halal Bi Halal on Sunday, May 29 2022 in Engineering Park with the theme of "MERENDA SOLIDITAS IATE-DTE-IMTE DALAM MEREBUT PELUANG INDUSTRI 5.0". The event was opened by Mr. Edy Warman, followed by the Alumni coordinator Ir. Ikhsan. The event also presented the winners of MARINESIA 2022 Boat Design Competition as well as the winners of "Lomba Kata-kata Inspiratif" for the newly build DTE Collaboration Point.

Departemen Teknik Elektro bersama IATE mengadakan kuliah tamu "Constructive Communication" bagi mahasiswa serta mengadakan kompetisi "Inspirational Quotes" untuk menghiasi saung collaboration point yang dibangun di depan gedung DTE atas inisiatif IATE. Rabu, 9 Maret 2022 pukul 13.30-15.00.

DTE COLLABORATION POINT

Teknik Elektro FT. USU - Ikatan Alumni Teknik Elektro (IATE) FT.USU mencanangkan lokasi kolaborasi mahasiswa, civitas akademik dan alumni dengan membentuk suasana kegiatan mahasiswa yang berahabat dengan membangun DTE collaboration points di halaman gedung utama Departemen Teknik Elektro. Fasilitas ini memungkinkan kegiatan mahasiswa dilakukan di tempat terbuka dengan siklus udara yang baik. Melalui kuliah tamu bertajuk "Constructive Communication", Ketua IATE, M. Ikhsan menyampaikan pemahaman kepada mahasiswa akan pentingnya "komunikasi yang membangun dan efektif", dimana budaya komunikasi yang bersifat stopper dan yang tidak memberikan solusi, harus diperbaharui guna mengefektifkan komunikasi. Hal ini diperlukan sebagai applied skill saat mahasiswa terjun ke dunia kerja. Sebagai langkah lanjutan terhubung dengan dibangunnya DTE collaboration points, diselenggarakan "Inspirational quotes competition” diantara mahasiswa Teknik Elektro, dimana akan dipilih 8 -10 pemenang, yang nantinya "quotes" tersebut dipasang pada setiap point (saung) yang telah dibangun, disertai peresmiannya.
